Ever live in the agony of trying to figure out what God is calling you to do? If we knew, we could encounter God more, right? Well the answer may not be found in these questions, but in a different one. This Sunday I’ll look to break down our common conceptions of the Will of God and offer a new framework.
As a result of that new frame, a challenge to give up control begins to surface. Here’s what Richard Rohr says about the Holy Spirit and control:
“We don’t know how to dogma-tize or control wind, water, or doves alighting from the sky. Such deliberate and daring metaphors for God should keep us rightly humble in all our knowing, predicting, and explaining.”
Join us Sunday in the Great Hall at Church of the Saviour at 6:30 (6:00 if you want dinner too!), or check us out online later that week for the video.
