Can’t Get Out?

So my 21 mo. old son loves doors, which I suppose is a toddler instinct.

Open.

Shut.

Open.

Slam!

It’s somewhat entertaining for me (I might be sinister) when he walks into my closet and shuts the door, but then suddenly realizes that he can’t get out.  Panic ensues.

It’s the image of getting ourselves into something that we aren’t able to manage, control, or get out of.  Panic ensues.  We scratch and claw and fight to no avail.  We need an intervention…perhaps from one who has no problem opening and shutting doors of any kind.

The Lord Jesus, who is holy and true, holds the key of David. What He opens no one can shut, and what He shuts no one can open. (Revelation 3:7)
