You’re good at some things; not so good at others.
While it’s important to focus on your strengths, and proportionately not get bogged down by your weaknesses, awareness of those weaknesses is underrated.
Weaknesses in a social context can easily trigger your feelings of inadequacy and insecurity if you’re not ready. We get tricked into setting out on our day thinking it will be perfect and mistake free. We’re surprised when we can’t live up to others’ expectations even though they’re relying on your ability to be great at something you’re not as great at.
A better way, at least for me, is to keep an eye on those weaknesses. Because they easily can wear disguises and trick me into thinking they’re strengths.
